2014 All-State Honor Band Conductors Election
A new honor band selection process was adopted by the CBDA membership at the 2010 General Meeting.
Nominations were accepted by e-mail to the CBDA President until April 1. Over 20 nominations were received. The CBDA President then formed a committee that went over the nominations and selected three or four names for each band that the committee members felt would do exemplary work with our California All-State students.
The Committee members were:
John Burn, Homestead High School, Committee Chair (CBDA President)
Tim Harris, Chabot College, Hayward
Allan Kristensen, Fresno Unified School District
Michael Corrigan, Santa Monica High School
The committee’s recommendations were brought to the CBDA Board for changes/additions/approval.
The CBDA board, at their June board meeting, approved the slate above.
The membership will vote on this slate during the 2012 All-State Conference this February in Fresno.
